Developed for applications where controlled and repeatable ultra-low temperature performance is required, the Model 526 provides a practical solution for calibration below −80°C, supporting both laboratory and field use.
As calibration requirements move further into ultra-low temperature ranges, maintaining stability and uniformity becomes increasingly challenging. The Model 526 has been designed to provide a consistent and controlled calibration environment without unnecessary complexity.
Using Free Piston Stirling Cooler (FPSC) technology, the Model 526 achieves temperatures down to −115°C with stability of ±0.05°C across the range. This supports reliable verification and validation of sensors used in ultra-low freezers, cold chain storage, and cryogenic processes.
The Model 526 combines ultra-low capability with practical usability:
• Cooling from ambient to −115°C in approximately 85 minutes
• Typical stabilisation time of 15 minutes
• Portable design suitable for site and cleanroom environment
• Environmental protection to reduce moisture ingress and ice formation
This makes the instrument suitable for routine calibration tasks as well as more demanding validation work.
The Model 526 can be used as a standalone dry block calibrator or as part of a complete calibration system. It integrates with:
• Isotech reference thermometers
• Precision indicators
• I-Cal Easy calibration software for automated calibration, data logging, and certificate generation
When used with an external reference thermometer, system accuracies of up to ±0.05°C can be achieved, depending on the reference system used.
The Model 526 meets the requirements of EURAMET cg-13 for temperature block calibrators.
