Kor AI enables scalable, ISO-level batch calibration of YSI EXO2 sondes, delivering 10x throughput, reduced labour and consumables, and reliable national-scale monitoring with full data integrity.
Traditional laboratory calibration allows a technician to process only 5–6 sondes per day, meaning that a large-scale programme, such as 2,000 CWQM stations calibrated every four weeks, would require a team of at least 17 technicians to manage approximately 500 sondes per week.
To address this challenge, Xylem has developed Kor AI, an advanced batch-calibration system that increases throughput by up to tenfold while maintaining high quality calibrations in an ISO17025-level lab environment. Kor AI enables a single technician to connect multiple EXO2S sondes to one workstation and calibrate up to 25 sensors simultaneously using automated wiping, drift monitoring, SmartQC checks, and secure calibration logging. This approach significantly reduces labour requirements and calibration-solution use, therefore supporting both sustainability and operational efficiency.
A dedicated calibration lab and a pool of pre-calibrated swap-out sondes ensure reliable, continuous monitoring with data certainty, integrity, and full environmental compliance at national scale. Kor AI is fully operational in Xylem’s Environmental Calibration Laboratory in Letchworth and is currently undergoing ISO17025 assessment.
